The Happy Birthday Program was created from a simple belief: every child deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday.

For families experiencing financial hardship, the added costs of a birthday celebration can be difficult to manage. Gifts, decorations, cake supplies and other birthday essentials can quickly add up. The Happy Birthday Program was created to help ease some of that burden through thoughtful and personalized birthday support made possible by the generosity of our community.Â

At the heart of the program is one simple goal: to help make sure a family's financial circumstance does not stand in the way of a child feeling special on their birthday.Â
Meet the Founder
The Happy Birthday Program was founded by Sophie, a Greater Moncton Area mom who believes every child deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday.Â

Giving back to the community has always been important to Sophie, whether that means dropping off items at local free pantries or sponsoring children and families during the holiday season. Over time, that sparked a simple thought: we often come together to make sure children feel special at Christmas, so why not on their birthdays, too?

As a mom to a young son, Sophie knows just how much joy can be found in creating those little moments of excitement and celebration. For her, birthdays are about more than gifts - they're about the anticipation, the little details and the feeling of knowing that your day is special.Â

The Happy Birthday Program grew from a desire to help create that same feeling for children throughout the community.Â
